Missing ODBC drivers in Vista 64
I came across an interesting issue today where the ODBC Data Source Administrator in Vista 64 appeared to be missing common ODBC drivers (Access etc.) and some old DSNs.

Using SQL to calculate dates in range
The UDF's listed in this article can be used to return the list of dates between two dates. A common requirement for this is when you are storing just a start date and end date for a specific event, and need to query the individual dates within the range. An example would be to show all events that occur on a Friday.

Opening MDI documents with Office 2007 and Office 2003 SP3
“Microsoft Document Image Writer” feature is not installed by default when you run Office 2007 setup. Likewise it would appear that the Office 2003 SP3 update replaces the MDI format (and Image Writer) with XPS (and Microsoft XPS Document Writer). Snipping Tool - Vista's best kept secret!
Okay so this may be a bit of an exaggeration but the Snipping Tool built into Microsoft Windows Vista is a great utility. No more PrtScn, pasting into paint, cropping, saving.......
