All our plans are hosted on Microsoft Windows Server 2003.

All of your data (excluding log files) is backed up every night to an off-server location, so that in the unlikely event of anything going wrong with our servers we can restore all of your data.

Allows you to configure DNS entries for your domain manually (this is for advanced users, and you don't need to use it if you want to!). Allows modification and addition of A records, CNAME records and MX records.

An alias is a domain name that points to the same web space as another "real" domain on our servers. This means that you can have exactly the same content come up for www.myfirstdomain.com as www.myseconddomain.com.

Both Zend Accelerator and the IonCube loader are installed on our servers. These are required to run some commercial PHP scripts.

We support the use of Access databases to power your scripts (normally used for ASP scripts, but other scripting languages can make use of them as well). We support the use of DSN-Less connections to connect to as many access databases as you like (and you can fit into your disk space allocation) or DSN connections (how many DSN connections you get depends on your plan).

An ODBC DSN allows you to connect to a database using a single name in your scripts; it can be used for any database type that we support.

The file manager integrated into our control panel allows you to simple things like delete, rename and move files as well as having an HTML and text editor for files. We recommend the use of FTP for any major work though.

You can check your email from your PC using either the POP3 or IMAP protocol, it's your choice! We also include an SMTP server which authenticated users can use to send email from their PC.

We use the latest SmarterMail mail server which includes high-quality webmail for all of our customers. Our mail server includes virus scanning which will delete emails containing viruses before they even reach you meaning you never have to be bothered by viruses again! Our spam filter, powered by SpamAssassin, will mark emails it identifies as spam with a [SPAM] tag on the beginning of the subject. You can then choose what action to take, including setting up a filter to delete all spam emails.

A forwarder (also known as an alias) is an address that simply sends all email it receives to another location. This could be another address on the same domain, or a different domain.

Any e-mail that is sent to a non-existent address on your domain can be forwarded to a location of your choice, so you'll never miss an email because of a mistyped name!
